Heatons work with Southport College year on year, normally leading up to the summer which is a busy for educational establishments. Their requirements are varied but in the past we have provided furniture for their classrooms, I.T suites, breakout and soft seating, staff areas and storage requirements. We have grown to become one of their trusted providers for when they have a requirement for furniture. We were really pleased to be approached by the college when they decided to refurbish and upgrade their main reception and meet and greet area. We worked closely with them to come up with an interior scheme which included a large curved bespoke reception and information counter along with some soft seating and breakout tables and chairs. The reception counter is manufactured in a hard wearing laminate finish and has a mixture of high and low points. We produced 3D renders so as the college could get a real feel for how the area would look and function. We installed their furniture in August 2017 and both the college and ourselves are really pleased with the outcome.
The college have worked with Nicky Humphray from Heatons on a number of small and large projects since 2013. We have always found Nicky to be very knowledgeable within the interiors market and she always goes that extra mile for her customers. Heatons employ their own team of fitters who are always polite and courteous. A lot of the work within colleges happens over the summer period and timescales can be tight in that respect. Heatons have never let me down. When we decided to upgrade our main reception area we wanted to create a space that was contemporary in its aesthetics as well as functionable. We had some initial ideas on how we wanted the space to look which we discussed at an initial meeting with Nicky. Nicky worked very closely with us to realise our vision producing detailed drawings and 3D renders and colour schemes. She even helped us with our decision on flooring for the area. Nothing was too much trouble. We are really pleased with the final outcome, equally so are our students and visitors.
